2022 Artist to watch, Fifth Santana

If you haven’t heard of him yet, you will in the near future. Fifth Santana, a Belgian/British hip-hop and R&B rapper, producer, and singer-songwriter, is one of the artists to watch in 2022. In the last two years, he has independently released a number of songs that have been featured on iheart radio nyc and GRM daily, resulting in an international fan base that is growing steadily.

Torchbearer, his most recent EP, was released in October of 2021, and is a brief three-piece project in which he expresses his current feelings about breaking into the music industry, personal relationships, and ptsd trauma experiences, all wrapped in a slew of metaphors and double entendres. Every line is spoken with conviction, so it’s safe to say that when you listen to this record, you get a sense of motivation. “It’s difficult as an independent artist to find their way through the noise of today’s society,” Fifth says.
